Douala, Cameroon — Nigerians in Cameroon and around the world celebrated the 65th Independence Day of Nigeria, marking decades of freedom, unity, and progress.
In a message shared with Naija Diaspora Magazine, Ambassador Francis Ntui Enya, Consul General of Nigeria for the Littoral and West Regions of Cameroon, congratulated the Nigerian community and called on citizens to continue promoting unity and national development.
“Today, we reflect on the sacrifices of our founding fathers and celebrate the unity, resilience, and progress that define us as a people,” Ambassador Enya said. “Nigeria’s independence is not only a symbol of freedom but also a reminder of our responsibility to contribute positively to the growth and development of our beloved nation.”
He praised Nigerians in Cameroon for their dedication, peaceful coexistence, and respect for local laws. “You continue to represent Nigeria with dignity, serving as true ambassadors of our great nation,” he added.
As Nigeria marks this important milestone, Ambassador Enya encouraged all citizens to renew their commitment to national unity, peace, and progress, emphasizing hope and collective achievement as key to the nation’s future.
