Reactions have trailed the visit of the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, to his fellow contestants at the just-concluded primary election of the opposition party.
It was earlier reported that Atiku visited the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, at his Abuja residence on Monday, two days after emerging as the 2022 PDP flagbearer.
It was learned that Atiku met with Wike as part of the reconciliation move for the party, to give the PDP a better chance in the 2023 presidential election against the ruling All Progressives Congress.
The reconciliation meeting was also attended by former Ekiti State Governor and PDP presidential aspirant, Ayodele Fayose, amongst other PDP chieftains.
The former Vice President also visited Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State and former Senate President, Bukola Saraki at their homes in Abuja.
Atiku was accompanied by former Kogi Senator, Dino Melaye, and former PDP Vice Chairman (South), Dan Orbih, amongst others.
