Strengthening Cultural Ties: Oru-West Delegation Visits Consul General’s Residence

In a remarkable display of cultural unity and diplomatic engagement, a delegation from the Oru-West Union visited the residence of the Consul General of Nigeria to Douala, Littoral, and West Regions of Cameroon on Sunday, February 16, 2025.

The delegation, led by the esteemed Chief Afamefuna Ohachusim, Chairman of Oru-West Union, was accompanied by his wife, along with Hon. Emeka Humfrey Okafor (Chairman of the Organizing Committee), Chief Jonathan Mba, and Mrs. Chioma Ezeh (Chairlady of Oru-West Union).

The visit was primarily to extend a formal invitation to Mrs. Enya Ntui, wife of the Consul General, for the 41st-anniversary celebration of the union, scheduled for March 9, 2025, at St. Michael Hall, Terminus, Douala, Cameroon.

Notably, a delegation had also paid a courtesy visit to the Consul General, Ambassador Enya Francis Ntui, the previous week to formally invite him to the event. Ambassador Ntui has been widely recognized for his unwavering commitment to the welfare and well-being of Nigerians within his jurisdiction, earning him deep respect and admiration from the community.

Beyond the invitation, the visit also reinforced cultural bonds, as Mrs. Enya Ntui shares a strong connection with the Oru-West community. A highly intellectual and articulate personality, Mrs. Ntui has demonstrated a passion for impactful initiatives.
