Sir Uzoka’s journey to Cameroon began in 1989 when business brought him to the nation through Mr. James. After a few years of learning and service, He eventually started his own business that has grown to be  Proximal Motos Ltd. In Sir Uzoka’s eyes, Cameroon isn’t just an amazing country; it’s a land of opportunity for those seeking an encouraging business environment.

But Uzoka’s influence extends beyond entrepreneurship. He also serves as the Vice President of the Yabassi Trader Union, a pivotal organization in the world of motor and motorcycle parts trading in Cameroon. In this role, he ensures the interests of both Nigerian and Cameroonian traders are protected. The mission is clear: to guarantee that traders focus on their core responsibilities rather than being burdened by extra tasks that hinder their growth.

The Yabassi Trader association holds regular meetings with the sole of empowering its members, teaching them the intricacies of the trade, their rights, and inviting specialists and lawyers to educate them. This commitment to education and advocacy aims to foster an environment where businesses can flourish without undue interference.

One of the major challenges faced by traders in Cameroon is the undue pressure imposed by certain individuals looking to profit from their hard work. Uzoka firmly stands against such abuses, where agents manipulate traders into paying more than their fair share of taxes and, at times, resort to intimidation tactics. He has taken this issue up with the relevant authorities, including the Consul General of Nigeria in Douala, resulting in positive changes and a more business-friendly environment.

As a leader, Uzoka’s impact isn’t limited to business associations. He serves as the Chairman of Anambra State in Doaula, a position he didn’t attain by chance but through a well-thought-out plan. His dedication to the people who elected him is evident as he takes steps to enhance the community’s well-being. From acquiring landed property to build a multipurpose hall for meetings to organizing the first-of-its-kind inter-local government football tournament to foster brotherhood and community.

Under his leadership, Uzoka strives to unite the Anambraians and create a strong sense of camaraderie. His belief is that empowering individuals not only transforms their lives but has a ripple effect, improving the entire community’s well-being. He encourages others to follow suit, to empower and uplift those around them, and to lead by example.

Uzoka’s philosophy is rooted in philanthropy and kindness, a testament to his lifelong commitment to giving back. He believes that when you have the means to help someone, it’s not just an opportunity; it’s a duty. His message to Nigerians in Douala is to abide by the law, help others, and foster a sense of community where everyone supports each other.

In a world where actions speak louder than words, Sir Emeka Uzoka’s journey exemplifies the power of leadership, dedication, and compassion. His story serves as an inspiration, reminding us that with the right intentions and actions, we can create a brighter future for our communities
